Anne Fitzpatrick

Anne Fitzpatrick

Since 2005 Anne has been a Relationship Manager with the Leadership Development Centre (LDC), working one to one with Public Sector senior managers on their professional and career development. From March-November 2010 she is on study leave, with research interests in coaching and mentoring, career development, and women in senior leadership and governance. She is available for coaching, mentoring and advisory services in her personal capacity (unrelated to her role at LDC) with specialization in the following areas:


  • Leadership development
  • Career and professional development
  • Planning for first 90 days in a new role
  • Optimism, resilience, confidence and personal wellbeing

Anne has had more than twenty years senior leadership, management and governance experience across the public, private and not for profit sectors in Australia and New Zealand. This includes Chief Executive roles with NZIM Central and Women’s Golf NZ, Registrar/Director of Corporate Services at Nelson Polytechnic and Team Leader, Chief Executive’s Branch, State Services Commission, supporting the State Services Commissioner in the recruitment, development and performance of Public Service Chief Executives. She has an honours degree in Statistics, a Masters degree in Business Administration and is currently completing a Graduate Diploma in Psychology. She is a Fellow and accredited mentor of the NZ Institute of Management, has completed coaching training with Coach U, and is a certified Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). Jennifer McDonald

Jennifer is a principal consultant with Continuum Consulting Group in Wellington, which specialises in leadership coaching, strategic facilitation, change management and communication skills training and development. Her clients range across public and private sector, and she is accredited with the Leadership Development Centre. Jennifer is passionate about effective communication and has extensive experience in managing change and leading people through change, having worked in the field of mergers and acquisitions, restructures and corporate culture changes. This has included HR and General Manager roles for multinational companies in New Zealand, Australia, Hong Kong and London.

She holds a Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from Victoria University and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Transport. She is also an Internationally Certified Trainer and Master Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), a Member of HRINZ, and a regular presenter on the University of Victoria MBA programme.


Denis Grennell

Denis is an experienced educator and developer, with over 20 years experience in education, management and consultancy. He has worked with a wide range of organisations to improve Maori Responsiveness and leadership and implement creative ways to build capability and the commitment essential to driving better business. Enhancing this wide experience is Denis' management history in the public and industry sectors and his work at a governance level with Boards of Trustees. Denis has been utilised by clients to work with them on transforming their internal culture. Denis facilitates processes that act as a catalyst, to align individuals to their inner core beliefs and values, creating powerful transformation. Working in an energetic, safe, and interactive way Denis closes the knowing-doing gap by connecting individuals to teams, and teams to organisational values, mission & vision to allow growth and realise full potential.

Denis is of Ngati Maniapoto decent with Irish ancestry. He now lives on the Kapiti Coast, with four children of Rarotonga, Niuean and Tahitian decent on their mother's side. All of Denis' children are involved in the immersion Maori education system, and the whole whanau are bilingual.

Wayne Urquhart

Wayne is a Director at Auckland based Acumen Consulting Ltd, and provides strategy and workshop facilitation services, development feedback, executive coaching and HR project management expertise to many clients from both the private and public sectors throughout NZ, Australia and in South East Asia. As the New Zealand Associate for Lominger Inc. he is significantly experienced with the LEADERSHIP ARCHITECT® suite of competency-based products and services for stimulating culture transformation, high potential development and management/executive improvement.

Wayne has over 20 years commercial experience, having progressed to hold General Management as well as sales leadership positions in the insurance and financial services industry. He also worked for some years in Executive Search and Selection assignments and in the NZ Police. He is currently completing research towards a Master of Management Studies (Organisational Behaviour), having earlier completed an MBA through Massey University.

Dr Susanna Kent

Susanna is a medical doctor who shares her time between General Practice, Police forensic medicine, and Wellness Education for organisations and on national television. She is passionate about combining the best of mainstream medicine with evidence-based aspects of complementary health and mind-body medicine. She enjoys using this knowledge to assist Achieve Group in the design and delivery of training that promotes optimal health, resilience and stress-reduction.

Susanna has been practicing medicine and health education since 1990, and has been on the boards of several health management organisations. Her post-graduate qualifications include a Diploma in Clinical Nutrition and she is a Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners. She is also a certified Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), motivational interviewing, and a communication skills instructor.
